Visiting Artist, Dana DeGiulio, talks to students about her work
Dana Giulio was a participant in the Fire Island Artist Residency, the first LGBTQ residency in the US, has had a solo show at the California Museum of Photography, projects with SFMoMA, and galleries in New York, Berlin, Chicago, LA and etc. Her work has been covered in Artforum, Artslant, Brooklyn Rail and the NY Times. She is the co-founder and former director of Julius Caesar, a 10 year old artist-run exhibition in Chicago, and just wrote a book, Nefertiti for the Blind, which no one asked her to do. She teaches full-time at Columbia University in New York and sometimes also at NYU and SAIC.
大发体育在线投注Dana was a visiting artist at Buxton this year on a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. She gave a talk about her work to the school, led several walking experiences, visited classes, and accompanied a trip to visit Mass MoCA.
